Day 6
Slept late this morning, oh what luxurious pleasure and delight! Did the noon class, didn’t particularly feel the heat, made it through all the postures just fine.
Came home and did some landscaping work on my never-ending mountain project.
This yoga challenge stuff is a piece of cake!
Day 5 – Ouch.
Early class again. Didn’t sleep last night. Hip hurts. When I say “hip” I really mean my hamstring origin. My ass. My ass hurts.
Gave up on Camel, I even gave up on Triangle, which I’m good at.
Oddly enough, the spine strengthening series, which are usually brutally hard for me, wasn’t a problem.
Go figure. But that’s two early days in a row. Take THAT.
Day 4 – Roxanne gets up early
Had to do the 6:30 am class today, the only one that fit my schedule. My husband just laughed when I told him the night before I’d be up early.
In fact, I don’t mind getting up early – if I have a reason. And the early yoga class was hands-down the best one I’ve been to yet. Fewer people, it didn’t seem as hot, and although my hamstrings had that just-rolled-out-of-bed tightness, I had no trouble getting through all the postures.
Plus, I do not eat at that time of day, so everything was done on an empty stomach. And more importantly, no coffee. Nothing quite like doing inversion postures with a hot drink threatening an encore.
Before I knew it, class was done. Home by 8:20 am, shower, a leisurely breakfast and – finally!! – my coffee, and the rest of my day lay in front of me, wide-open, full of possibilities.
