Life is messy.
Love is complicated.
And good women don’t always behave.

I’m a USA Today bestselling, multi-award-winning author who writes about love, family, second chances, and women finding the courage to make their own rules.
After years of living beside a lake in beautiful British Columbia, my husband and I recently moved to Maple Ridge, near Golden Ears Provincial Park and closer to our grown children. Our new home comes with two poodles, a garden, a greenhouse, and a great big rock in the backyard that makes me ridiculously happy.
I’ve written dozens of books, from contemporary romance and women’s fiction to stories about complicated families, unexpected friendships, and people figuring out what comes next. I believe everyone deserves love, kindness, and the freedom to be themselves—and those beliefs tend to find their way into my fiction.
I’m also the person behind Simon Creek Press, my independent publishing imprint, and co-host of Happy Hour with Ruth and Roxy, a podcast about finding more happiness and less bull… well, you know.
When I’m not writing, editing, or wrestling with publishing technology, you’ll probably find me in the garden, hanging out with my dogs, or plotting another story.
