My sedum garden....I got to spend the day puttering in the yard, which is my favourite thing to do. My oldest daughter, who lives in Vancouver, phoned me and we had a lovely, long conversation while I pulled weeds. It was the easy sort of talk that happens while you're doing something with someone else, and isn't always so easy over the phone. But today, it was perfect and it felt so good to connect with her again. It felt like she was right there, gardening alongside me. Tonight the rest of my family is taking me out for dinner - yay! But first, I've got yoga, and with any luck, it won't be a Brazilian degrees in there today. Give us a break, guys. It's Mother's Day!
